Chief Human Resources Officer http://www.interiorhealth.ca Kelowna, BC Interior Health encompasses the entire Southeast corner of British Columbia, serving over 700,000 people in 55 municipalities and 53 First Nations communities. With a budget of nearly $1.5 billion, Interior Health’s team of 18,000 health care practitioners, including 1200 physicians, provide integrated world class care through acute care,, home and community care, mental health and public health services. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, and an integral part of the executive team, the Chief Human Resources Officer will create the HR function and provide strategic HR leadership throughout the organization. The incumbent will be a catalyst for change, creating an employee culture that fosters excellence across all levels of the organization, resulting in the development of meaningful, strategic and value-added initiatives that will lead to the attainment of Interior Health’s goals and objectives. The Chief Human Resources Officer will possess a strong leadership background, having acted at a strategic level within human resources along with a solid understanding of bottom-line business operations. His/her experience is enhanced by outstanding consensus building and team building skills. An experienced and respected human resources executive, the Chief Human Resources Officer will have a proven background in understanding business needs and taking a proactive approach in supporting managers in order that the organization’s business goals and objectives are achieved. The ability to communicate effectively and build collaborative relationships with a broad range of stakeholders including key clients, board of directors, executive management, employees and union leadership will be key to this individual’s success. The successful candidate will possess a master’s degree (preferably) or a bachelor’s degree with related experience. A CHRP designation would be an asset.
