Vice President, Finance http://www.finning.ca/ Edmonton, AB Headquartered in Edmonton, Finning Canada sells, rents and provides customer support services for Caterpillar equipment and engines in Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon, the Northwest Territories, and a portion of Nunavut. Finning Canada serves a diverse range of industrial markets, including mining, forestry, construction, pipeline/oil field construction, agriculture, government sector, marine, transportation, fisheries, and the commercial transport industry. Reporting directly to the President, Finning (Canada), the Vice President, Finance has broad responsibility for safeguarding the assets of the organization by establishing and managing best practices in controls and procedures, maximizing earning potential, and making sound financial decisions. In this role the selected candidate develops, implements, and oversees plans and programs related to financial and performance reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial management, audit, compliance, and risk management. As part of the Finning Canada executive team the Vice President, Finance contributes to the overall strategic direction of the operating division and also prepares, presents, and interprets significant financial reports for senior management and the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate is a highly successful and entrepreneurial senior financial executive with at least 10 years of leadership experience, preferably in a large publicly traded organization ($750M+ in annual revenue) and the solid foundation of a recognized accounting designation. The incumbent will have helped a dynamic, customer-focused organization achieve new levels of growth and will possess keen acumen in business operations, combined with a track record of logical problem-solving, astute long-term planning abilities and exceptional people leadership skills. Experience in a heavy industrial, sales-oriented business would be an asset.
